Sign up to every grass­roots cam­paign that you can find. Get ready for the next elec­tion – Get reg­is­tered. Get your friends moti­vated. Know who to vote for nation­ally and for the state­house. Get active. You have noth­ing to lose and every­thing to gain. You can lose every­thing by doing nothing.

Be your­self and get right to the point. Tell them how you want them to vote or what you want them to intro­duce. Be polite. Treat them with con­sid­er­a­tion and respect even when they don’t. Remember you want them to act on your behalf, so sell them on the idea.
